Ku-ring-gai Council is encouraging residents to recycle clothing, toys and books for children aged 0-12 years at St Ives Showground.

The swap will be held at the Douglas Pickering Pavillion at the Showground on Sunday 8 September, between 10am and 1pm.

It follows the success of previous clothing swaps to assist local residents to reduce waste going to landfill and repurpose good quality unwanted items.

The event will be hosted by the Net Zero Champions group of local volunteers, who are advocating on behalf of Ku-ring-gai Council’s goal of achieving net zero emissions in Ku-ring-gai by 2040.

Residents can bring unlimited numbers of clean clothing in good condition suitable for children aged 0 to 12 years old.

They can also bring toys and books that are in good condition to exchange.

The clothes swap event is free to enter and participants will be given a voucher to allow them to swap as many items as they wish.

Bookings are required to attend the clothing swap at www.netzero.krg.nsw.gov.au/clothingswap

St Ives Showground is located at 450 Mona Vale Road St Ives and parking is provided free of charge at the Showground.
