Good clean fun at the Sustainable Futures Day

Ku-ring-gai residents can check out electric vehicles, pick up free native plants and learn about solar power and recycling at Council’s annual Sustainable Futures Day on Saturday 19 October.

Held at Turramurra’s Cameron Park, the Sustainable Futures Day is a free and fun event for the whole family.

Visitors will be able to learn about everything they need to transform their house, apartment or rental into a healthy, cost-efficient and comfortable space:

  • Chat with experts about solar, batteries and green power
  • Electric vehicle and cargo bike display with local EV owners
  • Teen clothing swap and WIN prizes at the Recycling Challenge
  • DIY reuse & recycling demos
  • LIVE induction cooking workshops with a local chef; bookings essential
  • FREE native plants and kids wildlife encounters.

Visitors to the marquee can create repurposed items including turning second-hand t-shirts into rugs or try their hand at macrame, natural fibre weaving and more.

Local restaurant Kiplings Garage Bar will be providing delicious food and drinks on the day.

Everyone attending the Sustainable Futures Day can go into a draw to win of two $500 vouchers towards their sustainable lifestyle.
